Living Well & Staying Connected.

Raleigh, NC

Residences at Glenwood Place is the second phase of the Glenwood Place mixed-use district. Driven by their mantra, “the art and design of living well,” the design team collaborated across disciplines to create a unique experience expressed through building materials, thoughtful programming, contemporary furnishings, locally curated art, and lush greenspaces.

Public and private realms.

The overall architectural concept is centered on creating a symbiotic relationship between residential living and community engagement, embodying the project’s ethos of fostering connections, promoting social interaction, and enhancing the outdoor living experience. The residential units are thoughtfully arranged, with the townhome-style apartments featuring direct street-facing access, not only enhancing the sense of individuality for each unit but facilitating a seamless transition between private and public spaces. The community integrates mixed-use elements by incorporating approximately 10,000 square feet of ground-level retail space, which serves as an active interface with the urban streetscape and fosters a dynamic public realm.

A mix of townhomes and apartments are adorned with light-toned brick and expansive windows.

This phase, while drawing inspiration from Sojourn Glenwood Place — the pioneering first phase — distinguishes itself through a heightened emphasis on luxury infused into its 278-unit structure. A notable highlight is two-story clubhouse crafted to evoke the ambiance of a private club, exclusive to its residents.
