South End, Elevated: Projects Defining Charlotte’s Next Chapter

Charlotte’s South End isn’t just growing. It is transforming the way people live, work, and connect in the Queen City. Once an industrial corridor, this neighborhood has become a vibrant cultural and residential hub, fueled by transit connections, adaptive reuse, and a community that thrives on creativity. These recent projects showcase how thoughtful design and a deep understanding of Charlotte’s character can shape a neighborhood and celebrate the city’s growth.

The Boulevard

The Boulevard: Bold Geometry Meets the Light Rail

Right on South Boulevard, The Boulevard makes a confident statement. Inspired by Art Deco forms and anchored by Charlotte’s light rail, this transit-oriented development maximizes its urban site with a strong street presence and elevated amenities. From a speakeasy-style lounge to an elevated pool deck and co-working spaces, The Boulevard balances timeless style with modern convenience. It delivers a signature identity in a competitive market while celebrating Charlotte’s evolving urban lifestyle.

Southerly LoSo: Industrial-Modern Living, Steps from Everything

Southerly LoSo captures the energy of Lower South End with industrial-modern design, quartz finishes, and smart-home technology, all wrapped in skyline views. Its amenity-rich program, including a pool courtyard, sky lounge, co-working, and pet spaces, speaks to today’s residents who want flexibility and connection. Located just steps from the light rail, it is part of our ongoing vision for LoSo as a walkable, thriving neighborhood that reflects Charlotte’s vibrant community spirit.

Hawk: A Vertical Vision for Luxury Living

Hawk is a first-of-its-kind residential mixed-use high-rise built with precast concrete in the Southeast. Rising 165 feet on just 0.35 acres, Hawk proves that small sites can deliver big impact. Boutique in concept, with only six custom units per floor, it reimagines apartment living by placing kitchens on exterior walls for sweeping skyline views and incorporating finishes like custom cabinetry, glass shower rooms, and soaking tubs. The intimate lounge and warm, modern lobby set a new standard for high-rise residential design while celebrating Charlotte’s growing urban identity.

Solis LoSo: Sleek Design and Youthful Energy

With a sleek, cantilevered massing along Yancey Road, Solis LoSo creates a bold, linear aesthetic accented by cool tones and vibrant pops of color. The project’s stoops and articulated façades energize the street, inviting pedestrian interaction while uniting the building’s expansive footprint. Thoughtful site planning turned a tricky irregular lot into a cohesive community, demonstrating how smart design can transform constraints into opportunities and contribute to Charlotte’s lively urban streetscape.

Bowers Fiber: Where Heritage Meets Next-Gen Community

At Bowers Fiber, a former cotton storage warehouse has been reborn as a 73,000-square-foot mixed-use destination for dining, retail, and creative offices. The adaptive reuse preserved the building’s industrial soul while carving out pedestrian-friendly spaces and generous outdoor areas. Located along the light rail, Bowers Fiber embodies South End’s ethos of honoring its roots while embracing what is next, celebrating Charlotte’s ability to innovate while preserving its history.

Why South End, Why Now

South End has become Charlotte’s design playground. It is a place where transit, density, and community come together in exciting ways. For us, these projects are more than addresses on a map. They are proof that when you blend craftsmanship, context, and creativity, you can shape not only a skyline but also a neighborhood’s future.

We are proud to play a role in creating spaces where people can live well, connect easily, and feel part of something bigger.
